    Caetano Veloso is a Brazilian musician and one of the creators of the Tropicália Movement in Brazil, which blended rock with Brazilian music. He has created and performed notable songs such as “Sozinho,” “Leãozinho,” “Você é Linda,” and "Sampa.”


    He is considered one of the most influential Brazilian artists since the 1960s, having been called a "postmodern bard." In 2004, he was recognized as one of the most respected and productive Latin American musicians in the world, with over fifty albums released and songs featured in the soundtracks of films such as Pedro Almodovar's "Talk to Her" and Julie Taymor's "Frida."


    He is one of the most important figures in Brazilian popular music and is internationally regarded as one of the best composers of the 20th century, being compared to names like Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, John Lennon, and Paul McCartney. He was ranked by Rolling Stone magazine as the 4th greatest Brazilian music artist of all time for his body of work and the 8th greatest Brazilian singer of all time by the same magazine.
